The Dehati Foundation is making headlines. Our grassroots green initiative — the 500 Saplings, 500 Hopes tree plantation drive — has been featured by leading regional newspapers including Dainik Bhaskar, Patrika and Navdunia, spotlighting our work to build a greener future for rural Madhya Pradesh.
What the newspapers reported
The coverage highlights the launch of our tree plantation drive at village Lalakhedi in Sehore district. The campaign was inaugurated by village elder Devkaran Verma along with Sarpanch Suman and Bhawani Shankar Patel, who planted the first saplings. In its first phase 100 saplings were planted, with a target of 500 saplings to be planted and cared for by 15 August 2026.

About the 500 Saplings, 500 Hopes drive
Members of the Foundation, along with villagers, women and youth, took part with great enthusiasm, planting fruit-bearing and shade-giving trees and pledging to nurture and protect them. As a Foundation representative noted, human life depends on trees from birth to the last breath — so protecting and nurturing them is a responsibility every citizen shares. The drive aims to create a green environment in rural areas and ensure a clean, healthy and balanced future for the generations to come.
